Body talk on social network sites and body dissatisfaction among college students: The mediating roles of appearance ideals internalization and appearance comparison

چکیده
The present study investigated the association between body talk on social networking sites (SNS) and dissatisfaction as well mediating effects of appearance ideals internalization comparison in this relationship. Participants were 476 Chinese college students who completed questionnaires regarding SNS talk, thin-ideal internalization, muscular-ideal general attractiveness comparison, dissatisfaction. Results indicated that was positively linked to relationship mediated by while nonsignificant. Moderated mediation analysis further revealed for women but not men other indirect did differ among genders. findings provide more insights into use image.
